We sell hens all year round, all 8 main hybrids and our own rare breeds*, specialising in Appenzellers, Silkies and Light Sussex. More recently, we have added a whole list of breeding stock, including Vorwerks, Salmon Favorolle, and the following bantams: Rhode Island Red, Polands, Sablepoots, Wyandottes, Welsummers, Barnvelders, Hamburghs, all in a range of different colours. We also sell surplus Rare Breed Eggs at £6 for 6 plus postage for broodie/incubator. Please ask for more details of breeds available.

Poultry keeping has become one of the UKs fastest growing hobbies. You need no previous experience to start the hobby, although there are some very informative books on the market. There are also a number of breeders, including ourselves, who offer basic introductory courses at very reasonable prices for those keen to experience a hands-on review before committing fully or even just to enhance their existing knowledge.

Golden Appenzeller

You will find the hobby very rewarding, and not just the eggs, and probably one, which you will find quite addictive. Each hen seems to have its own character. You will soon find yourself spending many enjoyable hours just watching them and feel completely relaxed, particularly after a stressful day at work.
